Acres Down Farm Shop
Acres Down Farm & Shop is a busy New Forest Commoners working farm, depasturing animals according to commoning rights of the Ancient Royal Forest. Keeping beef cattle, pigs, sheep and chickens, we are using traditional farming methods in harmony with nature to provide the unique “not on the high street” taste experience.

The Farm
The farm opens directly on to the 900 year old Royal Hunting Forest now known as the New Forest National Park, where the beautiful countryside can be explored on foot or by bicycle. We are also a mecca for bird watchers.
The Farm Shop
Acres Down Farm Shop was established in 1978 as a gate side cart; selling a few eggs, sacked potatoes, plants and meat from the farm gate. It has evolved and grown over the years. Now the Shop is set in the old barn & cow shed, which was refurbished in 2010.
Farmers Markets & Events
As well as running the shop, we also attend a number of local farmers markets and food festivals. We are members of both Hampshire and Dorset Farmers Markets. We also attend food festivals and County Shows.
